Savitar Installs Pty Ltd in Laverton North, Melbourne, is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker for full-time work spanning workshop production to onsite installation of custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects.

You will read drawings, manufacture cabinets from timber, veneers and laminates, operate woodworking machinery including CNC, install fittings, apply finishes, and ensure quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of full-time cabinet making/joinery experience.
• Experience manufacturing and installing custom cabinetry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Experience using woodworking machinery and CNC equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• White Card preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and job specs for cabinetry projects.
• Manufacture cabinets and joinery using timber, veneers, laminates, and engineered boards.
• Set up and operate woodworking machinery, including CNC equipment, to cut and shape components.
• Assemble cabinetry components and finish products to a high standard.
• Install cabinetry onsite, including kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and commercial fit-outs.
• Fit and adjust hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, handles and fittings.
• Apply finishes and protective coatings for durability and appearance.
• Ensure work meets quality standards, specs and timelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop and onsite environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. This full-time role focuses on the manufacture and installation of high-quality custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. You'll work across kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and fit-outs, delivering precision craftsmanship from workshop production through to onsite installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and job specifications for cabinetry projects




• Manufacture custom cabinets and joinery using a range of materials including solid timber, veneers, laminates, and engineered boards




• Set up and operate woodworking machinery, including CNC equipment, to cut and shape components accurately




• Assemble cabinetry components and complete high-quality finished products




• Install cabinetry onsite, including kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and commercial fit-outs




• Fit and adjust hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, handles, and internal fittings




• Apply finishes and protective coatings to ensure durability and a professional appearance




• Ensure all work meets quality standards, project specifications, and required timelines




• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in both workshop and onsite settings

Skills & Experience

• At least one year of full-time experience in cabinet making, joinery, or a related field




• Proven experience in manufacturing and installing custom cabinetry




• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans




• Experience using woodworking tools, machinery, and CNC equipment




• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship




• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team




• White Card (or willingness to obtain) preferred
