Job summary

Qantas Group is seeking a Cabin Crew Allocations Analyst to support long-term planning of crew activities at our Mascot Campus, under the ASU Level 8/EBA 13 framework. You will manage pre-allocation, training, leave and crew movements, ensuring rosters meet regulatory and operational requirements.

You will interpret reports, allocate resources under tight deadlines and collaborate with Workforce Planning, Cabin Crew and operations to optimise crew utilisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling or related operational planning is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to support planning decisions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters and large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume work accurately under deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail within policy and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting Awards, EA, policies or other complex requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Solid judgement and decision-making in time-critical situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-portfolio teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support long-term planning of Cabin Crew activities and ensure regulatory and operational requirements are met.
  • Manage pre-allocation and ongoing maintenance of training, ground duties, leave, crew movements, and roster-related activities before rosters are released for bidding.
  • Process high volumes of allocation requests and run/interpret reports to adjust allocations as priorities shift.
  • Apply Enterprise Agreements and policies to workforce planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Planning, Cabin Crew, and other internal stakeholders to enable crew utilisation.

Job description

  • Exciting opportunity to support our Cabin Crew Allocations team
  • Fixed-term opportunities based at our Mascot Campus
  • ASU Level 8 role under EBA 13

As a Cabin Crew Allocations Analyst, you will support the long-term planning of Cabin Crew activities, helping ensure industrial, regulatory and operational requirements are met.

You will manage the pre-allocation and ongoing maintenance of training, ground duties, leave, crew movements and other roster-related activities before rosters are released for bidding and publication. This includes processing a high volume of allocation requests, running and interpreting reports, identifying training requirements, and adjusting allocations when operational priorities change.

Working within strict deadlines, you will apply relevant Enterprise Agreement, policy and compliance requirements to make informed workforce planning decisions. You will collaborate closely with Workforce Planning, Cabin Crew, operational leaders, Remuneration and Benefits, and other internal stakeholders to support accurate planning and effective crew utilisation.

You’ll have -

  • Experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, resource allocation or a similar operational planning environment is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify issues and support planning decisions
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with spreadsheets, formulas, filters and large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume work accurately within short and competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and experience working within policies, compliance requirements or audited processes
  • Experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements, policies or other complex operational requirements
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills in time-critical situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues across different portfolios
  • A flexible and adaptable approach when operational priorities change
  • Experience using ARMS or another rostering or workforce management system is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in aviation, transport, logistics or another operational environment would be advantageous
