Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Global Product and Solutions team in Belrose. You will develop high‑quality software for logistics and warehouse automation projects, interfacing with cutting‑edge equipment and clients during site commissioning.

You will contribute across the full stack, including C#, Blazor, and SQL, while collaborating with a skilled team and travelling within the Asia Pacific region as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering/Mechatronics or similar.
• 2–3 years professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# .Net and SQL.
• Experience with Mercurial or SVN version control.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the Asia Pacific region (up to 2 months).
• Australian Work Rights: PR or Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software solutions for logistics tasks.
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate software with hardware devices to create cohesive logistics platforms.
• Design and optimise database schemas and queries for efficient data handling.
• Conduct unit and integration tests, and debug software issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software design and deployment.
• Assist in data visualisation and dashboards.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed applications.
• Stay up‑to‑date with latest technologies and trends in software development and logistics.
