Job summary

Ashford Benjamin Limited in Sydney is seeking C# Software Engineers across all seniority levels to join its Tier 1 buyside team. You will contribute to backend services, real-time systems and trading-oriented applications supporting the firm's trading business.

No prior finance experience required; you’ll work alongside traders, researchers and engineers, owning features end-to-end and helping improve performance, reliability and scalability through solid engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of C# development experience
• Understanding of object-oriented design and debugging
• Exposure to backend systems; multithreading or performance optimization is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• Interest in learning trading technology

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance C#/.NET applications across backend services and user-facing tools
• Own features throughout delivery lifecycle from requirements to testing and deployment
• Improve system performance, reliability and scalability
• Investigate technical issues and implement sustainable solutions
• Collaborate with trading, research and engineering teams
• Strengthen development practices through automation, testing and tooling enhancements
