Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) at Amberley, Queensland, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join the MRO Services team on the C-17A Globemaster, supporting the Royal Australian Air Force.

You will structure aircraft and components, oversee maintenance, and liaise with design and airworthiness teams while rotating across day and night shifts. This is a hands-on role in a premier defence aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding of QA procedures.
• Hold or obtain Defence Security Clearance (NVD 1).
• Meet ITAR security requirements.
• Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
• Hold a C class driver's license.
• Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalent.
• Work Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalent.
• Composite and Bonding recertification – current within last 3 years.
• Confined Space training.

Responsibilities

• Structures aircraft and component servicing.
• Provide direction and supervision as necessary.
• Undertake structures Quality Inspection activities.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with MOE and are certified in documentation.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment per EH&S policies.
• Liaise with 21J Design Organisation and CAMO on repair design and incorporation.
• Be flexible for day/night shifts and weekend rosters.
