Brand Collective is seeking a Buyer for Shoes & Sox in Sydney to shape our footwear assortment, balancing customer needs, commercial performance, and brand opportunities to deliver the right product at the right time and price.

You'll work closely with the Buying Manager, Planning, Marketing and third-party partners, using data and market insights to build compelling ranges, drive sales, margin and stock performance, and advance supplier relationships across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Buyer within a retail environment, ideally across footwear or fashion.
• Experience working with third-party suppliers and managing external brand relationships.
• Commercially minded, analytical and confident using data to inform buying decisions.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to interpret numbers and turn insights into action.
• Highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• A confident communicator and negotiator who builds strong relationships across suppliers and internal teams.
• A passion for product, customers and delivering commercially successful ranges.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buying Manager in shaping product and brand architecture and seasonal buying strategies.
• Build and select ranges across third-party footwear brands, ensuring the assortment meets customer and commercial needs.
• Analyse sales, market and product data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for optimisation.
• Build strong supplier relationships, managing negotiations, range reviews, buy preparation and follow-up.
• Attend seasonal previews and assess new ranges against Shoes & Sox customer and business requirements.
• Own in-season trading analysis, using performance insights to optimise sales, margin, stock and future buys.
• Partner closely with Planning, Retail and Marketing to align range plans, product presentation and customer opportunities.
• Maintain accurate buying documentation and provide broader strategic and administrative support across the Buying team.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As Buyer, you'll help shape the Shoes & Sox footwear assortment, balancing customer needs, commercial performance and brand opportunities to deliver the right product, at the right time and at the right price.

Working closely with the Buying Manager, Planning, Marketing, Retail and third-party brand partners, you'll play a key role in range selection, supplier relationships and in-season trading. You'll use data, market insights and your commercial judgement to build compelling ranges and drive sales, margin and stock performance.

This is a great opportunity for either an experienced Buyer who loves footwear or an up and coming Buyer ready to take that next step who thrives on data and enjoys working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
