Job summary

City of Playford is seeking a highly organised Business Support Officer to support two Senior Managers in Development Services and Regulatory & Community Safety. You will manage calendars, prepare reports and coordinate workflows to keep projects on track, while engaging with stakeholders across the Council and community.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Business Support Officer, Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Strong written communication and document preparation skills.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High-level proficiency across Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving and forward-planning capability.
  • Knowledge of Local Government functions and experience in a Local Government environment.
  • Familiarity with Pathway, ECM, OneCouncil, Click and website content management platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high level administrative and business support to two Senior Managers.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, correspondence and competing priorities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials and departmental communications.
  • Coordinate workflows, deadlines and key actions to ensure priorities are delivered.
  • Undertake research and project support activities.
  • Support purchase order processing and departmental administration.
  • Assist with process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Council and the community.
  • Contribute to community education, marketing and awareness initiatives when required.

This is more than an administration role. It's an opportunity to become a trusted business support officer behind two Senior Leaders, working within two dynamic departments that help shape, regulate and support one of South Australia's fastest growing communities.

At the City of Playford, you will support the Senior Manager Development Services and Senior Manager Regulatory & Community Safety, providing high level coordination, organisation and administrative expertise while contributing to projects, process improvements and initiatives that positively impact our community.
