Job description

City of Monash is a dynamic organisation committed to providing excellence in service delivery. Located in the eastern region, Monash is a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city, close to the demographic centre of Melbourne.

The Community Safety and Amenity Department consists of four teams: Community Laws, Public Health, Business Support and Contracts & Strategy. The primary role of these teams is to ensure that regulatory controls are complied with to help Monash residents enjoy amenity, maintain a safe environment and manage issues that may cause a nuisance.

About the Position

The Business Support Officer is a valued team member within our Business Support Team that effectively supports customers and the department's programs and business units.

The position is based in our vibrant Glen Waverley Activity Centre with staff car park available.

Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, preferably in Local Government
  • Intermediate to high level skills in a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and aptitude for new software systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of business and internal control systems
  • Experience in providing high quality customer service
  • Qualifications in, or working towards a qualification in, office management or business administration
Requirements
  • Satisfactory National Police Check
