Job summary

OZ Global Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Chartered Accounting firm to recruit a Business Services Manager/Supervisor. You will lead a small team, manage client relationships, and own a portfolio with scope across accounting, tax and advisory.

This role offers autonomy, direct access to Partners, development opportunities, and a supportive, personal practice environment for growth.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in Australian public practice.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong Tax & Business Services experience.
• Experience managing and reviewing accounting work.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients.
• The ability to lead, mentor and develop junior accountants.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in building long-term client relationships.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Tax & Business Services Partner, you will lead, mentor and support a small team of accounting professionals, while taking responsibility for your own portfolio of clients. Your role will encompass a combination of technical accounting, tax, client management, team leadership and advisory work, including:

• Managing client relationships throughout the compliance process
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns across all entity types
• Reviewing work prepared by the team and providing technical guidance
• Managing, mentoring and developing team members
• Overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are achieved
• Providing business and tax advisory services to clients
• Identifying business development opportunities
• Assisting the Partner with the strategic direction and growth of the practice
• Undertaking complex compliance and project work as required

About You

You may currently be a Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Manager within a Big Four, mid-tier or larger accounting practice and be ready for a change.
