Job summary

Commercial Associates Accountants and Advisors in Parramatta, NSW, seeks a Business Services Manager to lead a portfolio of ~AU$1 million in fees across business services, audit and advisory. You will report to the Director and supervise a Supervisor and two juniors, driving workflow, client relationships and service delivery.

CA/CPA or equivalent and Australian tax/accounting standards are required; you will mentor staff, develop advisory services and contribute to growth.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification with a strong grounding in Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Experience as an existing Manager or a high-performing Senior/Supervisor in Australian public practice.
• Proven ability to independently manage a client portfolio and lead a small team.
• Proficient with APS, Xero and MYOB; familiarity with Caseware is a plus.
• Strong communication, mentoring and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of ~AU$1 million in fees across SMEs, trusts and high-net-worth individuals.
• Act as primary contact and trusted adviser for clients, building long-term relationships.
• Review or prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT for various entities.
• Deliver proactive advisory work, tax planning, structuring and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage workflow, WIP and billing across the team and report to the Director.
• Mentor a Supervisor and two juniors to develop technical and professional skills.
• Identify opportunities to add value and support firm growth through technology.
