Westpac in Melbourne is seeking a Business Home Lending Manager to act as the expert for complex business lending journeys. You will guide customers from first contact through to funds, delivering clear, helpful guidance and a seamless application experience.

Working with Relationship Managers across Commercial Banking, you will tailor lending solutions, assess credit submissions, and ensure compliance while delivering strong lending outcomes.

What’s the role?

You’ll be the go to expert for complex business customers navigating their home lending journey from start to finish. From the first conversation through to the moment the customer receives their funds, you’ll make lending simple, clear and genuinely helpful.

Working closely with Relationship Managers across Commercial Banking, you’ll bring your lending expertise and customer first mindset to every interaction. You’ll support customers with lending solutions that meet their needs while helping create a smooth experience through the application and approval process.

This is a permanent full time role based in Melbourne / Naarm, Wurundjeri Country, with hybrid working and a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

What do I need?

• A genuine hunger for sales and growth, with the drive to build a pipeline, convert opportunities and deliver strong lending outcomes
• Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and build trust
• Experience analysing financial information, assessing credit submissions and structuring lending solutions
• A proactive relationship-building mindset, with the confidence to uncover opportunities and generate referrals
• A collaborative approach and the ability to partner effectively with Relationship Managers and Credit teams
• Understanding of lending policies, risk management and compliance requirements
• Confidence using digital systems and technology to manage workflow and keep customers informed
