As part of our expansion across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, we are seeking an experienced, highly connected local professional to lead business development, build referral partnerships and help create life-changing housing opportunities for people living with disability.

Value Care and Group Companies provide a comprehensive range of specialised disability support services, including Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA), respite care, dementia support, end-of-life and palliative care, complex nursing supports and community participation. Our experienced multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each participant's individual needs.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who already has strong professional relationships across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, understands the local disability, health and community sectors, and is motivated by measurable results.

You will represent Value Care and Group Companies by building trusted relationships with hospitals, Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, allied health professionals, guardians, families and community organisations across both regions. Your success will be measured by the quality and volume of referrals you generate and your contribution to maintaining strong occupancy across our accommodation portfolio.

This is an office-based role with regular travel between the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. A vehicle will be provided at the office for work-related travel between locations. This is not a work-from-home role.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable being held accountable to clear targets and who takes genuine pride in delivering results that make a difference to people living with disability.

Key Responsibilities

Referral Generation & Partnership Development

• Build and strengthen referral partnerships across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with a focus on generating consistent, quality referrals into Value Care's SIL and SDA services
• Develop strong relationships with Gold Coast University Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, local health services and primary health networks operating across both regions
• Engage with Support Coordinators, LACs, allied health providers, discharge planners, mental health teams and community organisations to develop active referral pipelines across both regions
• Promote Value Care and Group Companies' full range of services, including SIL, SDA, STA, MTA, respite, dementia support, end-of-life care, palliative care and complex nursing supports
• Work with referral partners to identify participants requiring specialised supports and connect them with the most appropriate services and accommodation
• Develop and maintain structured referral pathways across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast

Occupancy & Business Growth

• Work closely with operational teams to achieve and maintain strong occupancy targets across Value Care and Group Companies' accommodation portfolio across both regions
• Coordinate participant enquiries, property inspections and successful transitions into accommodation
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Value Care and Group Companies' presence across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
• Attend networking events and represent Value Care and Group Companies within local communities across both regions

Brand & Community Presence

• Build a strong and visible local presence through networking, community engagement and professional relationship-building across both regions
• Use social media and professional platforms to increase awareness of services, generate referral opportunities and strengthen Value Care's profile across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
• Develop your own professional profile while representing and strengthening the Value Care brand

Performance Expectations

Referral Activity

• Build and maintain a growing number of active referral partnerships across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
• Generate a consistent pipeline of quality referrals into Value Care's SIL and SDA services across both regions
• Convert referrals into confirmed admissions within agreed timeframes

Occupancy

• Work consistently toward achieving and maintaining strong occupancy across Value Care and Group Companies' accommodation portfolio across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
• Proactively identify and address gaps in occupancy through targeted referral and partnership activity across both regions

Reporting & Accountability

• Provide monthly reports to leadership covering referral activity, pipeline status, partnership development and occupancy progress across both regions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referral sources, enquiries and outcomes
• Actively participate in leadership reviews and contribute to regional growth planning

You are comfortable being measured on referral volumes and occupancy outcomes, and you bring the local knowledge, professional network and personal drive to meet those expectations across two thriving Queensland regions.

You may currently work or have experience as:

• Business Development Manager
• NDIS Service Manager
• Hospital Social Worker
• Community Development Officer
• Allied Health Practice Manager
• Disability Services Manager
• Local Area Coordinator
• Mental Health or Community Services Professional

• Demonstrated experience within the NDIS or community services sector
• Existing professional network across the Gold Coast and/or Sunshine Coast
• Proven track record of achieving referral, sales or business development targets
• Strong understanding of SIL and/or SDA pathways (highly desirable)
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working to and being accountable for KPIs relating to referrals and occupancy
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working With Children Check (where applicable)
