Job summary

Workwear Group is seeking a Business Development Manager in Australia to own a diverse wholesale territory and grow brand presence for KingGee, Hard Yakka and NNT. You will develop strategic territory plans, drive growth, and ensure our brands stand out on shelves and in customers' minds.

You’ll lead initiatives to increase sales, demonstrate products, and represent the brands at trade shows, while staying ahead of market trends and delivering excellent customer service.

About the Role

Step into a pivotal role where your passion for building genuine relationships and elevating great brands takes centre stage. As our Business Development Manager, you will own a diverse territory of wholesale customers, strengthening partnerships, driving growth, and ensuring our iconic WWG brands stand out on the shelf and in the hearts of customers.

You’ll be the face of KingGee, Hard Yakka, and NNT in your region, proactively growing brand presence in-store, championing product visibility, and outmanoeuvring competitors through smart commercial thinking and exceptional service. From developing strategic territory plans to executing brand‑building initiatives, you’ll help shape how our products show up—and win—in a competitive market.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop efficient and effective territory plans and call cycles to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Strategically plan and execute customer growth initiatives aimed at increasing sales and market share.
  • Meet or exceed sales, margin, SOW (Share of Wallet), SOS (Share of Shelf), and SOV (Share of Voice) targets.
  • Lead product and service demonstrations for customers and consumers, enhancing product knowledge and engagement.
  • Confidently represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and training sessions to showcase products and services.
  • Strategically optimize market share within the designated territory to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational standards.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of the product range to meet evolving market demands.
  • Innovatively promote and activate the brand through targeted marketing efforts and campaigns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

What we’re looking for
  • 4+ years in a similar role, account management or business development.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Proven examples of strong accountability and integrity.
  • Experience supporting store managers and connecting with end users.
  • Experience in the workwear industry is advantageous but not essential; working with a similar client group would be highly regarded.
