About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join Project Orion, a strategic integration program supporting the merger of Reserve Bank Health Society (RBHS) with GMHBA

The program encompasses the regulated transition of products, members, data and operational processes and workflows into GMHBA's systems and operating environment.

Working closely with the Business Integration Technology Lead, Project Lead, workstream leads, subject matter experts and external delivery partners, the Project Business Analyst will provide the structured analysis and delivery alignment required to translate business needs into effective technology, data and operational outcomes.

This is a hands‑on delivery role, moving through complex migration, testing, operational readiness and cutover phases, ensuring that:

• Business requirements are clearly defined, documented, and traceable.
• Current and future-state processes are understood and appropriately designed.
• Technology and data solutions align with business and regulatory expectations.
• Integration activities are supported by robust process, requirement, and validation artefacts.

This role operates within a regulated, high‑impact transformation, and is expected to apply strong analysis discipline, governance awareness, and delivery focus to ensure outcomes are controlled, understood, and fit for purpose.

The role:

• Full time
• Fixed term contract till 30 June 2027
• Based in our Geelong Head office (Hybrid work option available

You will:

• Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and data integration activities.
• Conduct current and future state analysis to identify process changes, operational impacts, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners to facilitate workshops, validate requirements, and resolve issues.
• Support testing, validation, and business readiness activities to ensure solutions meet requirements and are fit for deployment.
• Maintain governance and traceability by managing risks, dependencies, compliance requirements, and alignment with project and regulatory expectations.

The ideal candidate:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering outcomes in complex projects, transformation programs, or integration initiatives.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, business analysis documentation, and requirements traceability.
• Experience collaborating across business, technology, and delivery teams to support system, data, and process change initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills.
• The ability to work within structured governance frameworks.

Highly desirable

• Experience in large-scale migration or integration programs, regulated industries, Agile/hybrid delivery environments, and regulatory or assurance-driven projects.
