Job summary

Volvo Trucks Australia is seeking a Bus Mechanic for our Prestons, NSW workshop. You will focus on the Volvo Bus range, handling steering, electrical faults, brakes, driveline and preventive maintenance while contributing to a safety-forward team environment.

The role is permanent, Monday–Friday with day and afternoon shifts, offering a starting rate of AUD 43–50 per hour based on experience and a supportive team culture with relocation sponsorship for international technicians.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification.
• Proven experience working on buses.
• Some exposure to light auto-electrical work.
• A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently.
• A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Steering and suspension repairs on Volvo Bus range.
• Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs.
• Braking systems diagnosis and repairs.
• Component overhauls and driveline repairs.
• Preventative maintenance services and repairs.
• Offsite and breakdown repairs.
