Job summary

Brisbane City Council is seeking a Trade Technician for our Bus Garages at the Toowong Workshop. You will maintain and repair buses, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and ensure fleet readiness on a 38-hour week schedule with nine-day fortnights, day and afternoon shifts.

To be successful you will hold a Trade certificate Level III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Technology and a C class licence, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team. Pre-employment medical applies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose & fault find mechanical and electrical problems.
• Autonomy to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on buses.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes and hydraulics.
• Complete parts replacement, rebuilding and adjustments to keep fleet operational.
