Job summary

Christian’s Bus Company in Ballarat is seeking a Casual Bus Driver to operate the Waubra school bus run from our Ballarat Depot. You’ll provide safe transport for students during scheduled school hours and be part of a friendly regional team.

The role offers predictable school-day hours (7:00am–9:00am and 3:00pm–5:00pm) with potential for additional charter work. A strong safety mindset and professional, courteous service are essential.

Qualifications

• Current MR or HR Heavy Vehicle Licence.
• Valid Driver’s Accreditation Certificate from Safe Transport Victoria.
• Valid Working with Children Check – Employee from Services Victoria.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and passengers on scheduled routes safely.
• Carry out required vehicle and safety checks before trips.
• Follow road laws, safety procedures and company policies.
• Provide friendly and respectful customer service at all times.
• Maintain a safe and professional standard of service on all runs.

About the Role

Typical hours:

• Morning run: 7:00am – 9:00am
• Afternoon run: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
• Potential charter work when required

Duties

• Safely transport students and passengers on scheduled routes
• Complete required vehicle and safety checks
• Follow all road laws, safety procedures and company policies
• Provide friendly and respectful customer service
• Maintain a safe and professional standard of service

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
