Job summary

C&K Mackay Children and Family Centre in Mackay, QLD, is hiring a Bus Driver on a permanent part-time basis. You’ll transport children aged 3–5 safely between homes and the Centre each morning and afternoon in an 11‑seater bus, helping keep a welcoming, clean, and well‑maintained vehicle.

Beyond driving, you’ll follow safety and operational procedures, complete bookings and records, and work closely with the Centre team to deliver excellent service to families.

Qualifications

• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate.
• Valid Blue Card and current Police Check.
• Valid First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
• Current Open Queensland Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting children aged 3–5 between homes and the Centre each morning and afternoon in an 11-seater bus.
• Keep the bus clean, refuelled, maintained and complete bookings and records.
• Follow all safety, emergency, and operational procedures and uphold C&K policies and values.
• Collaborate with the Centre team to promote C&K and deliver exceptional service to families.

Help Shape Futures at C&K Mackay Children and Family Centre

As our Bus Driver, you’ll play an important role in supporting children and families by safely transporting children aged 3–5 between their homes and the Centre each morning and afternoon in our 11‑seater bus. Beyond driving, you’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by ensuring the bus is regularly cleaned, refuelled, and well maintained, while completing required bookings, records, and paperwork. You’ll follow all safety, emergency, and operational procedures, uphold C&K policies and values, and contribute to positive experiences for children, families, and the wider community. Working closely with the Centre team, you’ll communicate professionally, support a collaborative and respectful workplace culture, and play a valued role in promoting C&K and delivering exceptional service to our families.

• Permanent part-time | 60 hours per fortnight
• Working hours: Monday & Tuesday 7:30am – 4:30pm; Wednesday & Friday 7:30am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4:30pm; Thursday 7:30am – 10:30am and 1:30pm – 4:30pm
