Job summary

Busways is hiring casual Bus Drivers for the Kempsey depot to serve the community and provide the best customer experience on every trip. A medium rigid licence or higher is required, with the possibility of training and progression within the company.

The role offers weekday pay rates of $41.01 per hour plus an attendance allowance and opportunities for career development, fitness benefits, and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Current and valid MR licence or above.
• Clean driving history.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical, criminal history checks, and working with children checks.
• Having NSW Driver Authority is highly desired or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Do you hold a medium rigid (MR) licence or above? We offer a 4 week paid driver training program that will build on your current heavy vehicle skills and knowledge to navigate the roads as a professional Bus Driver.

About the role

We currently have multiple positions available for Casual Bus Drivers at our Kempsey depot. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.

A little bit about our rates!

• $41.01 per hour Weekday (shift loadings - range from 15% - 100% dependant on times of operation throughout the shift)
• $18.79 attendance allowance paid daily

Hours of work

Hours of work and shifts vary from depot to depot. Our casual drivers typically work a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon during the school term. In school holidays there is very limited work available.

These hours are often suited to retirees wanting to re-enter the workforce or supplement income. It is also a fantastic opportunity for people working part-time and wanting more hours.
