Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council – Speers Point NSW is seeking a registered Building Surveyor to guide development across residential and complex projects. You will provide certified development assessment services, advise customers, developers and industry professionals, and navigate the certification process with confidence.

The role emphasizes delivering safe, sustainable outcomes with strong legislative knowledge and excellent communication across stakeholders, in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Degree or Graduate Diploma in Building, or another relevant qualification.
• Registration with NSW Fair Trading as a Building Surveyor (restricted Class 1 and 10).
• Experience in development assessment and certification.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
