Job summary

Amida Group is seeking an experienced Building Services Coordinator to join its NSW team, supporting the delivery of premium commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across Sydney.

You'll work with the Building Services Manager and project teams to coordinate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services from tender through to handover, across multiple concurrent projects. The role splits time between site and office locations and offers clear career development.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Building Services, Construction, Engineering or related discipline or trade qualified.
• 3–5+ years' experience within the construction industry in a contractor, subcontractor or consultancy environment.
• Experience coordinating building services across commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, services drawings, specifications and submissions.
• Exposure to services installation, sequencing and coordination throughout project delivery.
• Working knowledge of Australian building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management and document control systems.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Construction Safety Induction (White Card)

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Services Manager with the review and coordination of building services documentation during tender and pre-construction phases
• Assisting with the review and comparison of subcontractor quotations, identifying scope gaps, exclusions and clarifications
• Coordinating communication between estimators, project teams, consultants and subcontractors regarding services design and scope
• Assisting with design reviews, coordination meetings and value engineering opportunities on Design & Construct projects
• Supporting the identification of alternative installation methodologies and buildability improvements
• Assisting with the preparation and coordination of services-related tender documentation and submissions
• Supporting project teams in coordinating building services works throughout construction and project completion
• Reviewing and coordinating services drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions and approvals
• Monitoring services installation activities and assisting with the identification of coordination issues, quality concerns and non-conformances
• Recording and tracking defects, observations and actions using Procore or similar construction management systems
• Assisting with essential services inspections, testing, certification and compliance documentation
• Supporting project teams with RFIs, variations and subcontractor queries relating to building services
• Assisting with commissioning activities, testing programmes and project close‑out documentation
• Supporting certification, handover and final completion of building services packages

Support the successful delivery of building services packages across high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with project teams from tender through to commissioning and handover.

Our client is seeking an experienced Building Services Coordinator to join their NSW construction team, supporting the delivery of building services across a portfolio of high-end commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Working closely with the Building Services Manager and project delivery teams, you will assist with the coordination of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services throughout all stages of the construction process. From pre-construction and tender support through to commissioning and project completion, you will help ensure services packages are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, quality and regulatory requirements.

• Assisting with identifying sequencing challenges, interface risks and coordination issues throughout construction
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, registers and compliance records
• Contributing positively to collaborative project outcomes across multiple concurrent projects

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Building Services, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline, or trade qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic or Fire Services with relevant industry experience
• Minimum 3–5+ years' experience within the construction industry in a contractor, subcontractor or consultancy environment
• Practical experience coordinating building services across commercial construction, fit‑out or refurbishment projects
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, services drawings, specifications and technical submissions
• Exposure to services installation, sequencing and coordination throughout project delivery
• Working knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and regulatory requirements relating to building services
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management and document control systems
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
