Job summary

Our client, a NSW-accredited Building Certifier and Principal Certifying Authority, seeks support for the Building Surveying Team with a high level of customer service. The role involves reviewing fee requests, coordinating projects and invoices, and assisting with certificates and NSW Planning Portal lodgements.

Experience with building surveyors, builders or councils is favourable; strong communication, organisational and telephone skills are essential for success in this client-facing

Qualifications

• Experience working for a building surveyor, builder or council is favourable.
• Strong communication with staff and clients.
• Ability to co-ordinate specific tasks.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Knowledge in residential permits desirable but not essential.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review fee requests and RFTs for private and Government sectors and prepare Fee Proposals.
• Project co-ordination: fee and project setup and communications, plus invoice coordination.
• Review Consultancy Agreements and Contracts to ensure consistency with Fee Proposals.
• Assist in preparing Construction Certificates / Occupation Certificates and CDCs.
• Lodge and update NSW Planning Portal entries accurately and on time.
• BCS input and updates.
• External customer liaison via phone and email.
• Office management tasks as required (phone, stationery orders, etc).
• Comprehensive management of internal files and document reviews.
