Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Building/Construction or equivalent.
• At least three years of relevant experience; 1–2 years may substitute the qualification requirement.
• Strong ability to interpret construction plans, specifications and work programs.

Job Description

CGR Group Pty Ltd CGR Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Building Associate to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist with the planning, coordination and supervision of building and construction projects and will organise and coordinate the material and human resources required for the efficient delivery of construction works. Key duties and responsibilities include: Supervising and coordinating day-to-day activities across construction sites; Organising and coordinating the material and human resources required for construction projects; Assisting Construction Managers with the planning and organisation of building and construction works; Coordinating works programs, trades, subcontractors, labour and the delivery of materials; Interpreting building plans, specifications, regulations and relevant codes of practice; Monitoring construction progress and assisting to ensure works are completed in accordance with project schedules and specifications; Inspecting work and materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, regulations and applicable standards; Assisting with calculating project costs, material requirements and estimated timeframes; Liaising with contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties regarding site requirements and the progress of works; and Maintaining relevant construction site and project documentation.

Qualifications and experience Applicants must have: An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Building, Construction or a closely related field , or an equivalent qualification or At least three years of relevant experience which may substitute for the formal qualification requirement; 1-2 years of relevant work experience required Relevant practical experience in the building and construction industry; Demonstrated ability to interpret construction plans, specifications and work programs; Strong organisational and site coordination skills; Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations, codes and construction standards; and Good communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate with trades, subcontractors, suppliers and management.
