Job summary

Bank First, a customer-owned Australian bank focused on backing teachers and nurses, is seeking a Broker Development Manager in Canberra. You will build strong relationships across our accredited broker network and champion a purpose-led lending proposition to help members reach financial goals.

As Broker Development Manager, you'll play an important role in helping more Australians achieve home ownership through a bank that puts people before profit.

By building strong relationships across Bank First's accredited broker network, you'll champion a purpose-led lending proposition that helps members access the products and support they need to reach their financial goals.

You’ll bring a strong understanding of the broker market, a customer-first mindset and the ability to build lasting partnerships that create value for both brokers and members.

You are motivated, adaptable and self-driven, you'll thrive in a role that offers autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to represent an organisation known for exceptional service, responsible banking and putting members at the centre of every decision.

• Proven experience in broker relationship management, business development, home lending or financial services, with a strong track record of driving sustainable growth.
• Tier 2 accreditation and experience within retail banking, lending or broker distribution.
• Strong knowledge of the broker market, lending products and regulatory requirements, including the National Credit Code (NCC), Financial Services Reform (FSR) requirements and Privacy obligations.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with brokers and stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences while balancing growth, risk and compliance requirements.
