Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane projects team, delivering structural designs for mineral processing and heavy industrial facilities.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, providing technical support across project lifecycles, including concept through to construction, with emphasis on safety, efficiency and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 3–8 years experience in design, construction and commissioning of mineral processing plants or heavy industrial structures.
• Proficiency with Space Gass and Strand7; knowledge of current design standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplined project team to deliver cost-effective structural engineering designs from concept stage through to detailed design, tender and construction.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis and design of steel, platework and concrete structures.
• Assist designers in the development of project models and drawings.
• Completing detailed engineering documentation and calculations.
• Technical review of vendor documentation.
• Ensuring design compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
• Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
• Supporting site construction activities remotely.
