Job summary

Equinox Engineering is a global EPCM consulting firm delivering engineering, procurement, and construction management services across the energy, resources, and industrial sectors. The Senior Project Engineer will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through construction support, based in Brisbane and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in EPCM or consulting.
• Experience delivering energy, resources, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• CPEng or progress toward CPEng preferred; brownfield experience highly regarded.
• Strong execution, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and project management tool skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering projects through concept, FEED, detailed design, procurement, and construction support.
• Develop schedules, cost forecasts, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary deliverables and milestones.
• Provide senior-level technical oversight within disciplines and interfaces.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards, client specs, and Equinox procedures.
• Act as key technical client interface in meetings and reviews.
