Job summary

CostMEI in Brisbane is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our senior team and grow with us. You will prepare estimates across all stages of project development, from early budgeting through to contract negotiation and variation assessment.

We welcome less experienced candidates with mechanical trades or process plant backgrounds and will train you in our proprietary estimating tools and methods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in estimating, mechanical engineering, piping, process plant, or mechanical trade/delivery.
• Strong technical grounding in mechanical and/or process plant work (oil and gas, water, waste to energy, minerals processing, power generation or similar).
• Willingness to learn estimating software (Expert Estimator, Candy, CATS) and our tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates across all stages of project development, from early budgeting through contract negotiation and variation assessment.
• Be mentored by senior estimators and directors, learning methods and proprietary tools used by CostMEI.
