Job summary

Minecon Recruitment Pty is partnering with a long-standing energy sector client to fill a Brisbane-based Commissioning Technician role.

The position requires 5+ years in instrumentation/electrical work, with certs in instrumentation, EEHA, first aid, and a current Queensland electrical licence. You will handle commissioning, fault finding and repair across MCCs, VSDs and panels, with safety and OEM guidelines always in focus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Cert III in Instrumentation Craft and proven expertise.
EEHA Certification.
Current First Aid Certificate and LV Rescue.
Nationally accredited training in Working at Heights.
Current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work.
Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD's, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power.
Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards.
Work within OEM guidelines.
Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
Attend system walkdowns and carry out rectification works as required.
