Brisbane City Council is seeking an Asphalt Labourer/Roller Operator for ongoing contract and full-time roles across Brisbane sites. The role combines labouring tasks with machine operation, focusing on spreading asphalt and supporting road maintenance crews.

You will need a current C Class license, a vehicle, White Card, and Roller Ticket, plus MR/HR licenses for mobility between sites. A teamwork ethic and safety-first approach are essential, with overtime and penalties available where

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt labouring and machine operation.
• Current C Class license and own vehicle.
• MR/HR license and Roller Ticket.
• White Card and road safety awareness.
• Ability to work across multiple sites around Brisbane.

Responsabilités

• Spread asphalt using screen board, shovel, and rakes.
• Perform manhole and sheet patching repairs.
• Assist with clearing trees and bushes from roads.
• Guide trucks and traffic during movement and tipping.
• Operate roller safely on site.

Job Type: Contract position | Full time position

Job Description

Do you have experience in Asphalt as a labourer and machine operator? There are a couple of opportunities for ongoing work across a mix of projects. You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch.

As part of the team, you will be working on projects on various sites around Brisbane. About your new role: The variety of this role will expand across but not limited to the following labouring tasks Use screen board/shovel an rakes to spread asphalt

Perform routine manhole and sheet patching repairs Help with clearing tree and bushes away from roads Gravel and asphalt pavements

Ability to maintain a safe work environment Guide trucks and traffic while moving and tipping Have a current truck license to be able to drive truck to different locations during each shift

Operate Roller in a safe manner What you will need to exceed: We are looking for asphalt labourers with experience or in a similar field services role. A strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.

Current C Class license & own vehicle required Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card) MR/HR license required

Asphalt labouring experience required Roller Ticket required Road and traffic awareness
