Job summary

Brisbane City Council is seeking an experienced asphalt labourer and roller operator to join our projects across Brisbane sites. The role involves assisting with asphalt laying, manhole and patching work, and ensuring safe operation around traffic and trucks.

You will work within the Asphalt and Aggregates branch, supporting a variety of sites and shifts. A valid truck license to travel between locations is required, with on-site exposure to directing traffic and maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Spread asphalt using screen board, shovel and rakes.
• Perform routine manhole and sheet patching repairs.
• Help clear trees and bushes away from roads.
• Gravel and asphalt pavements.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Guide trucks and traffic while moving and tipping.
• Have a current truck license to be able to drive truck to different locations during each shift.

Do you have experience in Asphalt as a labourer and machine operator? There are a couple of opportunities for ongoing work across a mix of projects.

You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch. As part of the team, you will be working on projects on various sites around Brisbane.

About your new role:
