Job summary

Pearson Carter is looking for a Software Engineer in Brisbane to design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python and/or C#/.NET, with hybrid work options.

You will build REST APIs, integrate with internal platforms and third parties, automate processes and contribute to new features while maintaining production systems. The role offers ownership and collaborative decision-making in a growing Australian tech team.

Qualifications

• Commercial software development experience using Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Strong backend development experience, including REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience working with SQL databases and maintaining production applications.
• Understanding of software development best practices, testing and version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python and/or C#/ .NET.
• Build and integrate REST APIs connecting internal platforms, customer systems and third-party services.
• Develop automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications while contributing to new features and system improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and maintainable software.
