Job summary

Inghams Chickens in Australia is seeking a Breeder Farm Manager for Yumali, South Australia. You will manage one of four farms, oversee six breeder sheds and lead your own dedicated team. This is a residential position with on-site accommodation—a four-bedroom home awaits.

Relocation assistance can be provided upon discussion. You will drive production standards, coach staff to achieve goals, manage budgets, and uphold biosecurity and animal welfare while leading continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven track record in poultry farming operations or similar agricultural role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams.
• Genuine commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and farm management systems.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions and handle both hands-on and office work.
• Understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily farm operations and drive your team to exceed production standards.
• Coach and develop staff to achieve performance goals while fostering a strong safety culture.
• Roster staff efficiently and manage budget responsibilities.
• Oversee flock management with a focus on animal welfare and humane treatment.
• Maintain full compliance with Inghams' Minimum Standard Procedures and biosecurity protocols.
• Implement and maintain biosecurity and quarantine measures.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Champion a proactive safety culture with corrective and preventative programs.
• Cover after-hours alarms as needed.
