Job summary

NSW Health's BreastScreen NSW program seeks a Visiting Medical Officer (Radiologist) to support breast cancer screening, assessment and diagnostic services across Wagga Wagga and Queanbeyan. The role requires Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and current Medical Board registration, with involvement in quality assurance and multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a practicing practitioner.
• Current NSW EPA Radiation Licence.
• NSW Working With Children Check.
• National Criminal Record Check.
• Compliance with NSW Health vaccination requirements.
• Experience in screening mammography reading and breast ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Provide breast screening image reading and interpretation services.
• Deliver assessment clinic services, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.
• Work with the multidisciplinary BreastScreen team to maintain QA standards.
• Participate in accreditation activities and National Accreditation Standards.
• Attend MDT and CARE meetings and contribute to education activities.
• Collaborate with Designated Radiologist, Clinical Coordinator, Surgeon and Pathologist.
