Job summary

Qscan Windsor, part of Qscan Group, seeks an experienced Breast Sonographer to join its specialist Women’s Imaging team on a permanent basis. You will perform breast ultrasound across screening and diagnostic settings, working with Breast Radiologists, Mammographers, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must have current ASAR accreditation or be eligible for one.
  • Experience in Breast Ultrasound including screening and diagnostic exams.
  • Experience in Women's Imaging and breast interventional procedures or willingness to develop.
  • Strong understanding of breast imaging protocols and quality standards.
  • Excellent scanning technique and diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations in screening and diagnostic settings.
  • Produce accurate imaging to support diagnosis and clinical decisions.
  • Collaborate with Breast Radiologists during assessment clinics and MDT pathways.
  • Support interventional breast procedures where appropriate and maintain patient comfort and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with breast imaging protocols and QA standards.
  • Maintain image quality and diagnostic accuracy through detail-oriented practice.
  • Manage workflow efficiently within a collaborative team.
  • Pursue continuous learning and professional development.

What's the role?

We are seeking an experienced Breast Sonographer to join our specialist Women's Imaging team at Qscan Windsor on a permanent basis.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Sonographer who is passionate about breast imaging and wishes to further develop their expertise within a dedicated Women's Imaging service. Working alongside experienced Breast Radiologists, Mammographers, Sonographers, Nurses, and administrative professionals, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic excellence.

Qscan Windsor provides comprehensive breast imaging services including breast ultrasound, mammography, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures. The clinic is equipped with advanced imaging technology and supported by a highly experienced multidisciplinary team committed to achieving outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Performing high-quality breast ultrasound examinations across both screening and diagnostic settings
  • Producing accurate and comprehensive imaging to support diagnosis and clinical decision-making
  • Working closely with Breast Radiologists during assessment clinics and multidisciplinary patient pathways
  • Assisting with and supporting breast interventional procedures where appropriateDelivering compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality
  • Ensuring compliance with breast imaging protocols, quality assurance standards, and best practice guidelines
  • Maintaining excellent image quality and diagnostic accuracy through attention to detail and clinical expertise
  • Managing workflow efficiently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a commitment to ongoing professional development
