Job description

Be the person who keeps the day moving

Ashfield | Permanent part-time | 9.30am to 2.30pm

Every educator needs time to take a break, plan and reflect. Every child needs a trusted educator there when that happens.

That's where you come in!

You will move between rooms, support different teams and give children a safe, positive and engaging experience. No two days will be quite the same, but your hours will be.

Your day, your impact
  • Cover breaks so rooms stay supported and educator-to-child ratios are maintained
  • Step in while educators have programming time
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with children across different rooms
  • Join children’s play and respond to their interests, strengths and needs
  • Help every child feel safe, included and connected
  • Work closely with educators and onsite specialists
  • Keep learning spaces safe, welcoming and ready for play
What makes this role different
  • No assigned programming. No focus children.
  • You will support the learning already underway, share important information with the room team and finish at 2.30pm.
  • Make no mistake, you will still make a real difference. Your work gives educators protected time to plan, reflect and recharge, while children continue to receive consistent care and support.
What you get
  • Permanent, family-friendly hours: Work a set five hour shift from 9.30am-2.30pm
  • Variety every day: Work across different rooms, age groups and teams
  • A true wraparound service: Work alongside occupational therapists, speech pathologists, a child and family health nurse, and a social worker
  • Support close at hand: Our early learning services, specialist teams and head office staff are together on one site
  • An inspiring Outdoor Classroom: Support nature-based, play-based and child-led learning in our purpose-built outdoor space
  • More in your pocket: Access salary packaging of up to $18,550 a year for eligible expenses, plus optional novated leasing
  • Discounted early childhood education and care for employees
  • Room to grow: Access professional learning, mentoring and specialist knowledge
  • Wellbeing support: Access our Employee Assistance Program, annual flu vaccinations and staff Engagement and Wellbeing Committee

  • Current First Aid (HLTAID012)
  • a Food Handler Basics Certificate
Bonus points:

experience in integrated services or alongside allied health teams.
