The opportunity

Drive brand success in a high-impact contract role with a leading pharmaceutical company. We’re seeking a commercially minded and strategic Brand Manager to lead the marketing efforts for a portfolio of specialty pharmaceutical products—both established and new launches. Based in Sydney, this fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to shape brand strategy, collaborate across teams, and deliver innovative healthcare solutions that improve lives.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute marketing strategies for allocated products, aligned with company objectives and market dynamics

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to bring activation plans to life

  • Business Planning: Deliver high-quality marketing and business plans within budget and timelines

  • Growth Generation: Drive profitable growth and market share for your product portfolio

  • Partner Management: Oversee distribution partners and third-party agreements to optimize go-to-market strategies

  • Promotional Excellence: Work with agencies to design and execute multi-channel campaigns, including digital initiatives and major customer events

  • Material Development: Produce promotional materials that meet regulatory standards (Medicines Australia Code of Conduct / TGAC)

  • Sales Enablement: Communicate product strategies and messaging effectively to the sales team

  • Market Insights: Conduct market analysis and formal research to uncover customer needs and opportunities

  • Performance Tracking: Provide regular analysis of sales and market data, evaluate KPIs, and forecast stock requirements

  • Budget Oversight: Manage promotional expenses with precision

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with KOLs, associations, and key customers—locally and globally

  • Business Development: Where relevant, support external opportunity evaluation and realization

Your experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or marketing

  • 3+ years’ experience in brand management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry in Australia

  • Proven success in lifecycle management and product launches

  • Ability to develop business cases, patient models, and forecasts

  • Familiarity with industry data sources and digital/multi-channel marketing

  • Sales experience in pharma is desirable

  • Knowledge of Veeva and Marketing Cloud is preferred
