Job summary

Winnchester Consulting Pty Ltd in Nowra is seeking a reliable Branch Assistant / Driver for a full-time role. You will be actively moving around the yard, assisting customers and supporting a small branch team from early morning start to early afternoon finish.

The position involves local deliveries, picking and packing orders, stock handling and processing sales, with opportunities to learn the trade supply industry and build strong relationships with local customers.

Qualifications

• No trade supply industry experience required.
• Reliable and punctual with a safety-conscious approach.
• Physically capable of regular manual handling.
• Current C class driver’s licence and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks including right to work.

Winnchester Consulting is recruiting for a full-time Branch Assistant / Driver to join a busy trade supply branch in the Nowra area.

This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, working with customers, being active throughout the day and supporting a small branch team.

You will be involved in local deliveries, customer service, preparing orders, loading and unloading stock, keeping the branch organised, and supporting day-to-day branch operations.

About The Role

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm, including a 30-minute lunch break, with one Saturday per month.

The Role Includes:

• serving trade and retail customers;
• picking, packing and preparing customer orders;
• loading and unloading stock safely;
• completing local deliveries;
• helping keep the branch, yard and stock areas organised;
• processing sales, quotes and orders;
• supporting general branch operations; and
• building strong relationships with regular local customers.

About You

You do not need to have trade supply industry experience, although this would be well regarded.

This Role May Suit Someone With Experience In:

• delivery driving;
• warehousing;
• trade supply;
• building, hardware or plumbing supplies;
• retail or counter sales;
• logistics;
• manual handling or stock control; or
• customer service in a hands-on environment.

You will need to be reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, physically capable of regular manual handling and comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face.

Licences and requirements

You Will Need:

• a current C class driver’s licence;
• a clean driving record;
• the ability to complete pre-employment checks, including right to work, psychometric testing and drug and alcohol testing.

An MR licence would be highly regarded. If you do not currently hold an MR licence, you must be willing to obtain one, with support available through the business.
