Job summary

AACo in Headingly is inviting applications for a Bore Runner to support water supply at Headingly Station, near Urandangie, 200 km southwest of Mount Isa.

You will check bores, tank levels, fences and solar equipment, keep records, and maintain equipment while working solo or in a team; accommodation and meals are provided.

Qualifications

  • Previous bore runner experience is preferred.
  • Experience with solar bores is desirable.
  • Mechanical knowledge applicable to field equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate daily/weekly work schedules.
  • Capable of working alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform bore runner duties and maintain safe work practices.
  • Check tank, turkey nest levels, fences, troughs and solar equipment.
  • Ensure water delivery levels and cattle at troughs are monitored.
  • Maintain bore runner vehicle and report any breakdowns.
