Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Albury. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate financial records and providing high-quality accounting support.

Working closely with clients and our advisory team, you will handle BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and other compliance tasks, apply GST knowledge, and identify process improvements to help clients stay financially confident.

Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications.
• Xero and MYOB AccountRight experience essential.
• Payroll experience is required.
• Sound accounting skills (Dr/Cr, P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Basic GST knowledge and reporting experience.
• Ability to identify and communicate process improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Apply client/firm/industry knowledge to tasks and trends.
• Assist with BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and related compliance.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, debtors, and creditors.
• Assist with client relationship management and queries.
