Our Client is a private investment group based in Brisbane.

We own and manage a group of agricultural businesses, including sheep and chicken farming, coffee roasting and distribution, and industrial tools and technology.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Bookkeeper (Finance Officer/Accounts Officer) to support the financial operations. This is a newly created part-time role due to growth, reporting to the Financial Controller. You\'ll work from home with occasional in-person team catch-ups.

In this role, you’ll be:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Processing payroll
  • Reconciling bank accounts and general ledger accounts
  • Monitoring and reporting on cash flow
  • Preparing BAS and IAS
  • Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
  • Managing the finance inbox and admin support
  • Providing ad-hoc assistance to Directors
About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (minimum)
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounts experience
  • Experience using Xero
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to self-manage
  • A positive, can-do attitude and team spirit
  • Proven ability to manage finances across multiple businesses will be highly regarded!
