Job summary

• 4+ years relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient with Xero and MYOB AccountRight.
• Strong GST knowledge and accuracy in records.
• Excellent client service and communication.
• Ability to identify process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Maintain client bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Assist with BAS, IAS, payroll tax and other compliance tasks.

About the role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Albury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality accounting support and helping businesses stay organised and financially confident. Working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day bookkeeping requirements, maintaining accurate financial records and providing valuable support that helps clients focus on growing their businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
• Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues
• Assist accountant in preparing client BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, LSL Levy and other ongoing tax compliance requirements
• Prepare reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable
• Assist with client relationship management
• Handle client bookkeeping queries

About you:

• DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: Essential 4 + years relevant experience
• Relevant qualifications
• Xero and MYOB Account Right experience essential
• Payroll experience
• Sound accounting skills (Dr’s & Cr’s ; P&L & Balance Sheet differences)
• Basic GST knowledge
• Ability to identify & communicate process improvements
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• and Self motivated (ability to work independently)
