Tincone Pty Ltd is seeking a Boilermaker/Welder (Casual) for Abbot Point Operations, Bowen, QLD, with the potential to transition into permanent roles based on performance and project needs. These roles follow project-dependent rosters (5/2, 10/4) with day/night shifts where required.

Requirements include Certificate III in Engineering, extensive structural welding and fabrication experience, the ability to read drawings, and a valid driver's licence.

Boilermaker / Welder – Casual (Potential Permanent Opportunities)

Primary Location: Abbot Point Operations, Bowen QLD

Additional Locations: Various mine sites throughout Central Queensland, as required for shutdown and project works.

Employment Type: Casual, with the opportunity to transition into permanent employment based on performance, suitability and ongoing operational requirements.

Roster: Project-dependent rosters, primarily aligned with existing site arrangements, including 5/2, 10/4 rosters and potential day/night shifts.

What we require from you:

• Certificate III in Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in structural steel fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair.
• Competency in FCAW, GMAW, MIG, TIG and/or MMA welding processes, particularly structural welding.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details and repair specifications.
• Current driver's licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to pass relevant pre-employment medical assessments and site fitness-for-work requirements.

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience working in mining, heavy industry, ports or shutdown environments.
• Working at Heights, GTA, & Confined Space Entry qualifications.
• High Risk Work Licences, including forklift, MR/HR, EWP, dogging or rigging.
• Current mine site inductions.
• Experience with structural remediation, corrosion repairs and working within operational facilities.
• Ability to work effectively alongside scaffold, blasting and painting crews.
