Job summary

Kempe Engineering in Melbourne is hiring fulltime Boilermakers for our Coolaroo operation. You’ll fabricate, install and maintain equipment at client sites, with routine repairs and fault finding, plus commissioning of plant in a safety-first environment.

We value on-site HSE compliance, a recognised Boilermaker or Fabricator trade, and licences such as Confined Space, EWP, and Working at Heights. Competitive hourly pay and strong career options across 17 national facilities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabricator.
• Solid understanding of HSE on site.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We currently have fulltime Boilermaker positions available at our Melbourne operation, based in Coolaroo. You'll be working across our client's sites, delivering high-quality fabrication services in a well-resourced, safety-first environment.

This is a role for tradespeople who want:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Fabrication, installation, and maintenance work at client sites
• Scheduled and unscheduled repairs and fault finding
• Commissioning of equipment and plant
• Working safely in accordance with Kempe and client site requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabricator
• Solid understanding of HSE responsibilities on site
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Self-motivated, reliable, and safety-focused - you don't need to be told twice

Highly Regarded:

• Experience in fixed plant, energy, recycling, food & dairy, or paper sectors
• Experience in stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel welding (Mig, Tig and Stick)
• Confined Space, EWP, Working at Heights, and Forklift licences (or willingness to attain)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
