Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Welder / Boilermaker Maintenance Tradesman to support Viva Energy Clyde and Gore Bay Terminals in Sydney. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will undertake welding, fabrication and pipefitting work across site.

The role includes planned and reactive maintenance, interpretation of drawings and safety documentation, and contributing to shutdown activities. You will work with mechanical and maintenance teams in a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Engineering Fabrication or equivalent.
• Experience with TIG, Stick and GMAW welding processes.
• Pipe fabrication and installation experience.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabrication of structural steel, pipework and associated assets.
• Pipefitting, installation and modification works.
• Planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Interpretation of drawings and piping isometrics.
• Pressure piping repair and maintenance works; completing permits and safety documentation.
• Contributing to shutdown and project activities when required.
• Working collaboratively with mechanical and maintenance teams across site.
