Job summary

Glencore in Queensland's Mount Isa area is hiring a permanent Boilermaker to fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures, interpret drawings, and weld to high standards. You will perform maintenance on mining plant equipment, adhere to WHS policies, and work both independently and in teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Boilermaker with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
• Proven experience in heavy fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures and components.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG and stick welding to a high standard.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
