Job summary

Zeal Personnel in Perth is seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder for a 3-week casual assignment in a busy workshop. You will fabricate, assemble and weld heavy structural components for mining, tunnelling and infrastructure projects in WA.

The role requires high proficiency in GTAW (TIG) welding, the ability to read complex engineering drawings and ISO welding symbols, and a strong commitment to safety and QA/QC standards. Immediate hours available in Perth.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade / Boilermaker.
• Proven experience fabricating carbon, alloy and stainless steels.
• High proficiency in GTAW (TIG) welding across all positions.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and ISO welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Assembly of heavy steel components according to shop drawings.
• Perform GTAW (TIG) welding to AS/NZS 1554.1 standards with high cosmetic and structural integrity.
• Safely operate workshop machinery and maintain equipment.
• Conduct pre-weld setup, joint prep and post-weld inspection to QA/QC tolerances.
