National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd seeks a skilled Boilermaker/Welder for their Oaklands Junction yard. This full-time role focuses on repair and maintenance of earthmoving plant and equipment, fabricating, welding and assembling metal components to a high standard in a field environment.

You will read workshop drawings, perform MIG/TIG/STICK welding, and ensure safety and quality standards while keeping your work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding, Metal Fabrication or related field.
• Proven experience in fabrication, welding or structural metalwork.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• White Card, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, cut, shape and assemble metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret workshop drawings, plans and specifications.
• Carry out MIG, TIG, stick or flux-core welding as required.
• Use grinders, drills, presses, cutters and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measure, mark out and prepare materials accurately before fabrication.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Complete repairs, modifications and general fabrication tasks as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.

About the Role

The Boilermaker/Welder will be a full-time position based out of our Oaklands Junction yard. The role will take responsibility for repair and maintenance of NCF Plant and equipment. For instance, fabricate, weld, assemble and repair metal components and structures to a high standard, supporting the reliability and performance of earthmoving equipment. This is a hands-on role that is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, takes pride in their professional approach and self motivation, and brings a strong background in repair and maintenance of earthmoving plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate, weld, cut, shape and assemble metal components and structures.

Read and interpret workshop drawings, plans and specifications.

About You

Tickets & Experience (Mandatory)

Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding, Metal Fabrication or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in fabrication, welding or structural metalwork.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.

White Card, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Tickets & Experience (Desirable)

Drive and operate a tilt tray/slide tow truck (or willing to learn)

Safely load and unload vehicles and plant

Current Australian Driver Licence (MR Licence or higher preferred)

Relevant plant tickets are highly regarded eg. Forklift, Excavator, Rigging/Dogging
