Job summary

Mackay Sugar is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join the permanent Racecourse Mill team. The role covers preventative maintenance, repairs and ensuring the mill operates reliably, safely and efficiently in a busy heavy industry setting.

You will bring an Engineering Trade Qualification (Fabrication), a strong safety mindset and Full Working Rights for Australia. A valid Australian driver’s licence is required, and you will thrive in a hands-on, continuous improvement environment with a

• Engineering Trade Qualification in fabrication.
• Experience in heavy industry repair/maintenance is desirable.
• Excellent focus on safety and wellbeing of colleagues.

Permanent Boilermaker - Racecourse Mill

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Boilermaker to join our permanent team at Racecourse Mill. More than just maintenance, this role is about keeping a major industrial operation performing at its best. From preventative maintenance to critical repairs, your expertise will help drive reliability, productivity, and safety across the Mill. As a minimum you will hold and / or maintain the following Qualifications and Licenses:

• Engineering Trade Qualification (Fabrication)
• Experience in heavy industry repair and maintenance is desirable although not essential
• An excellent focus on safety and a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of all work colleagues
• MUST hold Full Working Rights for Australia
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
