Job summary

Next Level Consulting Solutions in Bathurst NSW is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join a well‑established engineering and manufacturing operation. You will fabricate and assemble large steel components for railway infrastructure, reading drawings, MIG/MAG welding, and ensuring quality and safety.

This hands‑on role involves working with heavy steel in a specialised manufacturing environment, collaborating with welders, fitters and machinists, and maintaining a safe, efficient workshop

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent required.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills essential.
• Ability to confidently read & interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with structural or heavy steel preferred.
• Good measuring, fitting and fabrication skills required.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and assembling structural and heavy steel components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials.
• MIG/MAG welding and general fabrication.
• Fitting and assembling components to tight specifications.
• Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment.
• Carrying out grinding, gouging and other preparation work.
• Inspecting completed work to meet quality and dimensional requirements.
• Collaborating with welders, fitters, machinists and other trades.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop.

Education

Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent

Strong welding and fabrication skills

Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience working with structural or heavy steel

Good measuring, fitting and fabrication skills

Strong safety mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
