Job summary

Visy is seeking a Plant Operator for our Co-gen facility in Campbellfield, Melbourne, to operate, monitor and maintain equipment involved in steam and electricity production. You will report to the Production Supervisor and join a safety-focused, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous trades background preferred.
• Advanced Boiler and Turbine Ticket desirable.
• Confined space license and DCS experience desirable.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
• Experience in a 24/7 heavy manufacturing or processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment associated with steam and electricity production and fuel preparation.
• Perform boiler and feedwater tests and compile records.
• Check and record boiler inventories and chemicals.
• Identify and act on operational and maintenance problems in the field.
• Supervise and assist team with co-ordination of loading and unloading truck.
• Develop procedures and operations manuals for operation and training.
• Adhere to safe working and environmental procedures in accordance with the policies and procedures at all times.
